Canyon Ridge · West Campground

Up on the rim.

Twenty sites and two cabins on the western edge of the canyon, 400 feet above Ridgeline Reservoir. Trails out the back, sunsets out the front, and the Milky Way overhead.

About West

The quiet side of the canyon.

West is laid out along a single loop that follows the rim, so most sites look straight out over the reservoir. The pines and junipers give you shade in the afternoon and a bit of privacy from your neighbors. Generators are off by 8 pm and quiet hours start at 10, so the loudest thing at night is usually the wind.

The Red Ledge trailhead is at the top of the loop. Two easy miles along the rim gets you to Sunset Point, where most of the campground ends up around golden hour.
